Project brief

To understand how well we approach neighbourhood management and maintain localised communication with our tenants about their local area.

Recommendations

We felt that communication and focusing on the impact of our tenant voice to maximise the effect of these strategies could be invested in further. The panel recommended the following to make this change possible and to develop our approach to neighbourhood management more effectively:

  • Improve how we investigate and measure the impact of our local activity under My Voice
  • Better coordination of community events across the tenant scrutiny and estates teams and better understanding of roles and responsibility
  • To create a mechanism of recording and measuring of impact of local activities outside of My Voice
  • Better define our plan for localised communication with tenants

Action update

The tenant panel reviewed the draft action plan and were happy to sign it off. This has been shared with relevant departments so colleagues can begin work on their respective recommendations.
