With the summer holidays here, it can be hard finding things to do with the kids, especially with the cost of living. We’ve put together a helpful guide on what activities you can get involved in at no extra cost.

Activities

  • Go Play is an organisation which is open to all kids aged 5-12, and it’s free to attend. Visit the Go Play website for more information on activities and programmes.
  • Just Youth provide a range of free activities aimed at 11-19 year olds (up to 25 for those with SEND). They offer sports, arts, music virtual reality experience and more. You can give them a follow on Facebook to see what's on.

For Go Play and Just Youth, you’ll need to check that you meet the criteria. Once met, you’ll then receive an E-voucher through email or text message.

  • Many art galleries offer free-entry and include interactive events, perfect to keep kids engaged. Just search ‘art galleries’ on Google to find your nearest one.
  • Try going to your local library - If your kids are bookworms, the library may be a great solution to summer boredom. Pop down to your local library and spend the day reading with the kids and getting involved in any activities they have on.
  • Sheldon Country Park is a free park and offers free parking off Ragley Drive, opposite the entrance. There are animals such as goats, pigs, geese and ponies, there are also seasonal activities that are organised at the farm by the rangers.

If you’re struggling with the cost of living, it’s important you get in touch with us, so we can help support you.
