Our first Town Hall event
Money Advice Tenancy Services Scrutiny Team 03/05/2024
We hosted our first Town Hall event at Chatham Place, Northfield, on Wednesday 1st May to give our tenants in the area a chance to come along and have a chat with some of our teams.
What’s a Town Hall?
A Town Hall gives you the chance to meet some of our teams in person and ask any questions you have or get the support you need.
For our first event, we had representatives from our Tenant Scrutiny, Money Advice and Tenancy Services team. We were also joined by local community groups such as MHA, a charity dedicated to enabling older people to live later life well, and Northfield Community Partnership who work to help people and communities to improve their life chances.
On the day
We welcomed tenants to Chatham Place where they were greeted by our friendly staff. We had coffee and cake on offer, as well as a few freebies and an opportunity to mingle with other tenants and our staff.
It was great to see everyone get together as a community and talk about things that matter.
What our tenants said
The Town Hall went down really well with our tenants who attended, and having local community partners there really helped to give everyone good variety of stalls and information.
Graham, a resident at Chatham Place said, “the event has been really good and very helpful. It’s nice to see and talk to people.”
Kim added, “It's been good, I’ve found it helpful. There’s a nice atmosphere and a friendly environment.”
Lez mentioned, “I’m about to retire, but I’m trying to find activities to pass the time as I’m not a member of anything. I actually live locally and currently live in a Midland Heart home.”
If you missed out on this Town Hall event, then please keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook @MidlandHeart and X @MidlandHeartHelp), where we’ll let you know about our next Town Hall event.
