It’s really important for us that you have as many ways to get involved and get your voice heard as possible. We want to make it easy and rewarding for you to become an involved tenant, which is why we’ve reviewed our My Voice framework!
What’s new?
To help give you more ways to get involved, we’re adding two more groups to our framework:
My Assurance
This group provides assurance on how we are performing against the standards set by both us and external bodies such as The Regulator for Social Housing. The group holds us to account through tenant-led performance reviews, policy reviews and mystery shopping.
There can be lots of information and data to look through in an audit, but the team will always present information in a way that meets your needs. We will check and make sure you have everything you need to help you make the decisions you feel are right.
My Team
This group provides a fantastic opportunity for tenants to work with our People Team (Resourcing, Learning and Development and Rewards Teams) to really make sure we are hiring and developing the best people.
Through meaningful tenant involvement, we can make sure we recruit the right people to work with you, and that staff have the training, experience and knowledge to be effective in their roles and deliver you the best services.
What else is changing?
We’re also changing up one of our current groups My Experience, to offer more topics for you to provide feedback on each quarter.
This group will be called My Ideas going forward and will offer opportunities for you to feedback on our repairs service, complaint handling process, communication, and our shared ownership offer, along with other topics as the year progresses.
We’re also going to redevelop the scope of ‘My Area’ to include quarterly update meetings with involved tenants that focus on the outcomes of estate inspections, community events and how we are making a positive contribution to our neighbourhoods. This is all to make sure that you know how you’re contributing to change and service improvements.
The rest of our groups, My Scrutiny, My Impact and My Feedback will continue to operate as they do now but we want to make sure all our groups are more aligned going forward rather than working independently of each other.
How do I get involved?
You can find out more about all of our involved tenant groups and how to get involved on our My Voice webpage. You can also email customerscrutiny@midlandheart.org.uk or call our Hub on 0345 60 20 540 for more information.
If you’re interested in joining any of these groups, we’d love to hear from you. You can commit as much or as little time as you’d like to give up – and you can join remotely from your sofa or join us for in person meetings depending on what you prefer.
But don’t just take it from us…hear what our involved tenants have to say!
